John L. has a considerable amount of work experience in various roles. John started their career at Bayer as an intern in the syringe and disposables new product development group. John then joined XPER, Inc. and held multiple positions including research and development engineer, project engineer, senior mechanical project engineer, and eventually vice president of quality. In their roles at XPER, Inc., they were responsible for leading teams, coordinating design activities, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Most recently, John worked at IDL as a Lean/Continuous Improvement Manager, where they led initiatives to develop a business management system that earned ISO certifications in Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health and Safety. Currently, they serve as the Chief Manufacturing and Quality Officer at Butler Technologies, Inc.
John L. has a solid education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering Technology. John obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State New Kensington (The Pennsylvania State University) from 2004 to 2006. Afterward, they pursued further education and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College from 2006 to 2007.
Aside from their formal education, John has also obtained several certifications. In June 2013, they received the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification from the Project Management Institute. Later on, in November 2020, they obtained the ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification from ASQ - World Headquarters. Recently, in April 2022, they gained the Lean Specialized Credential from ASQ - World Headquarters and the Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner certification from Prosci.
