Laurie York

Laurie York is an experienced educational technology coach at Butte County Office of Education since August 2018. Previous roles include serving as a #CAEdChat Moderator from January 2017 to December 2021, where discussions on education theory and practice were facilitated. Laurie was also Vice President and later President of North State CUE from November 2015 to June 2021, contributing to the establishment of a major CUE affiliate in California that supports rural educators. Prior experience includes teaching in the GRIDLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT for thirteen years, focusing on Common Core subjects and innovative classroom practices. Additionally, Laurie was a member of the CUE Rock Star Faculty, delivering professional development sessions on various educational technologies. Academic credentials include a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from California State University, Chico.
