Daniel Markham has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Daniel started their career as a Summer Administrative Intern and Sector Leader at Tenacity in 2011. Daniel then served as a Graduate Assistant for the Binghamton University Bartle Library. Markham later worked as a Senior Museum Educator/Curator at the Roberson Museum and Science Center and as a Sales Representative at Cell Again Boston.
In 2012, Markham joined ACCESS International as a Support Analyst, where they assisted various organizations in utilizing data, donor, and financial management tools. Daniel also managed client projects and provided consultations on best practices. Markham developed reports and performed database tasks using Transact SQL.
From 2014 to 2015, Markham worked as a Senior Technical Analyst at Silverlink Communications. Daniel then joined Vista Higher Learning in 2015 as a Business Data Analyst, where they managed databases, developed custom reports, and streamlined operational processes by implementing a fraud monitoring system.
In 2017, Markham became the Manager of Data Services at Motus, LLC, serving as a scrum-master and project manager. Daniel led and mentored the Data Services team and was responsible for database optimization and analytics efforts.
From 2021 to 2023, Markham worked at Schoolzilla by Renaissance as a Senior Data Engineer. Daniel led a project to upgrade the company's Airflow stack and optimized their data tools and web services. Markham also diagnosed and developed optimization strategies for storage and server issues.
Currently, Markham is a Data Engineer at Butter Payments, starting in 2023.
Daniel Markham has an extensive education history. Daniel obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Data Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters in Public Administration from Binghamton University in 2010-2011 and earned their B.A. degree in History with a minor in Political Science from Ithaca College in 2005-2009. Their high school education was completed at Windsor Central High School, where they obtained a High School Advanced Regents Diploma in 2001-2005. Additionally, Daniel obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Binghamton University in December 2011.
