Job Description

Butterfly Network is seeking an experienced corporate paralegal to join its in-house legal team.  The corporate paralegal will report to the VP, Deputy General Counsel while also supporting the VP, Compliance and Contracting.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced cross-functional environment on a variety of initiatives.  

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal either in-house at a fast-paced corporation, large law firm, or a combination.
  • Manage US and international subsidiary filings and related record keeping, including filing of annual reports.
  • Complete ad-hoc and special corporate, compliance, and data privacy projects as requested/required.
  • Support financing and business development transactions, including assisting with corporate diligence and maintaining data room.
  • Assist with organizing, tracking and monitoring contracts in contracts database.
  • Support drafting and execution of contracts.  
  • Open payment review/processing support. 
  • Support in-house counsel with budgeting process; review outside counsel invoices and monitor spend against budget.
  • Assist finance team and in-house attorneys with SEC filings, including, but not limited to Form 4 filings.
  • Assist in-house counsel with e-discovery and other related projects.  
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of Board and Committee meeting materials and coordination of D&O questionnaires. 

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. 

Location

At Butterfly we offer a hybrid work environment. For most employees, this means part time in the office (two or more days a week). This is a hybrid position and will be based out of our office in Burlington, MA. Our office is located near the Burlington Mall in an area called ‘The District'. You’ll have access to community spaces, including an 8,000 SF state of the art fitness center and the OMMM Yoga and Meditation Studio.

Compensation 

Our estimated salary for this role based in the greater Boston area is between $85,000 - $95,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
