Rebecca Whaling has held a variety of positions since 2012. Rebecca began their career as a Lifeguard at Scarborough Borough Council in 2012, followed by a Swimming Instructor role at Swimtime UK Ltd in 2013. In 2016, they held an internship as a Project Manager at Lloyds Banking Group, and then worked as a Scientist I, Functional Ingredients at Mondelēz International from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, they have been a Food Developer and Junior Food Technologist at Butternut Box since 2019.

Rebecca Whaling attended The University of Manchester from 2013 to 2017, where they earned an MChem in Chemistry. Rebecca also attended The University of British Columbia from 2015 to 2016, where they earned an MChem in Chemistry.
