Tom Forster

Head Of Information Security at BUUK Infrastructure

Tom Forster has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and network infrastructure. Tom started their career in 2003 as a Network Administrator at Amot and worked there until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they served as a Sales Engineer at Foursys Ltd, where they provided consultation and support for email filtering, web filtering, and firewalls.

In 2009, Tom joined the Gas Transportation Company (GTC) as a Systems Architect. During their time at GTC, they were responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining network infrastructure systems. Tom also gained experience in team management and project management.

In 2013, Tom moved to BUUK Infrastructure as an ICT Infrastructure Manager. In this role, they oversaw team management, budgeting, and infrastructure strategy. Tom was involved in architecting network infrastructure and managed the design, installation, and maintenance of systems across multiple sites.

Tom's expertise led him to be promoted to the position of Information Security Manager at BUUK in 2019. Tom held this role until 2022, where they had responsibilities in ensuring information security across the organization.

In January 2022, Tom was appointed as the Head of Information Security at BUUK Infrastructure, taking on a more senior position within the company.

Tom Forster obtained their Bachelor of Science Honors degree and Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Internet Technology and Computer Networking, respectively, from Anglia Ruskin University. Tom completed their undergraduate degree from 2000 to 2003 and their postgraduate degree from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Tom Forster has obtained certifications including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in January 2020 and ILM Level 5 from ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) in August 2016. Tom is also a member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, holding the MBCS certification.
