Maxime Bayen

Maxime Bayen is an experienced operating partner at Catalyst Fund, an early stage VC fund that supports startups focused on climate resilience in Africa. Since March 2021, Maxime has also served as a principal consultant at BFA Global, helping to build inclusive innovation ecosystems. As a co-founder of Africa: The Big Deal, Maxime provides insights on startup funding in Africa. Advisory roles include positions with BuuPass, Amitruck, PricePally, TopUp Mama, and Time for the Planet, all aimed at enhancing transportation, logistics, and sustainability. Previous company building efforts involved Sumundi and COLIBA. Maxime holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School and has completed various programs related to venture finance and capital.
