Dr. Silvia Hodges Silverstein is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law, marketing, and business management. Currently serving as a Cookie Expert at Last Crumb and a Partner at Silverstein Investments, Dr. Silverstein also holds the title of CEO Emerita at Buying Legal Council, where leadership was provided from 2014 to 2023. Academic contributions have been made as a Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham Law School, while earlier roles included Director of Research Services at CT TyMetrix and Executive in Residence at Emerson College. Dr. Silverstein's educational credentials encompass a PhD from Nottingham Law School and various qualifications in business administration and marketing from esteemed institutions.

Our mission is to advance the field of legal services and legal technology, enhance the value and performance of legal procurement practitioners and their organizations, foster dialogue between buyers and sellers, and document and promote best practices. We identify and provide solutions to both strategic and operational challenges our members face and prepare them for tomorrow’s opportunities and challenges. The Buying Legal Council facilitates an innovative dialogue between buyers and sellers of legal services, as well as other stakeholders in the legal market.
