Sarah Wainschel

Sarah Wainschel is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience at BuzzFeed since March 2017, currently serving as Deputy Director of Audience Development. In previous roles, Sarah has led teams in content creation for the Community vertical, managed editorial processes, and fostered collaboration among writers and editors. Sarah's career at BuzzFeed began as a Junior Community Editor, where significant contributions included editing over 1,700 user-generated articles, resulting in substantial audience engagement. Prior experience includes an Associate position at Bite Communications, where responsibilities encompassed media outreach, social media management, and client support, as well as a role as a National Contributing Writer for Her Campus. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Promotions, and History from Gonzaga University.
