Emilio de Torres Fernandez

Emilio De Torres Fernandez has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Emilio started their career in 2007 at Sadiel Desarrollo de Sistemas, where they worked as a Software Developer, focusing on developing a RFID inventory management web system using C# and ASP.NET framework.

In 2010, Emilio joined Fundación Universidad Empresa de la provincia de Cádiz as a C++ Software Engineer, and in 2011 they worked as a GIS Engineer at the Laboratory of Geodesy and Cartography - University of Cádiz. In this role, they created the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Deception Island in Antarctica using technologies like GDAL/OGR, PROJ.4, MapServer, and GeoNetwork.

From 2011 to 2013, Emilio worked at ABANCE (FABA Systems - Navantia) as a C++ Software Engineer. Emilio primarily focused on developing software using the C++ language.

In 2014, Emilio joined Faculty of 1000 Ltd as a Senior C++ Software Engineer. Emilio was responsible for designing and developing desktop applications using C++ and Qt for OS X and Windows. Emilio also worked on creating plugins for Microsoft Word using C++, Objective-C and VBA for OS X. Additionally, they were responsible for the Continuous Integration process and maintaining the F1000 installer.

Most recently, since 2016, Emilio has been working at BetVictor. Emilio started as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually transitioned into the role of Software Engineering Team Lead in September 2022.

Emilio De Torres Fernandez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering (2:1) from the Universidad de Cádiz in 2008 and completed their Master of Science degree in Software Engineering (2:1) from the same university in 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Emilio also has several certifications. Emilio received the Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer I certification from Oracle in 2015. In 2013, they obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge. Emilio also completed CCNA Exploration courses in Routing Protocols and Concepts, as well as Network Fundamentals, through the Cisco Networking Academy in 2010.
