Antonio Carlos Capeleiro Pinto has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Antonio Carlos began their career at the Instituto Militar de Engenharia where they graduated in 1981. Following that, they worked at Embraer as an Electrical Engineer before joining Petrobras in 1983.

At Petrobras, Pinto held various roles including Reservoir Engineer, Field Development Engineer, Reservoir Technology Manager, Manager of Early-Phase Production Projects, General Manager of Pre-Salt Development Design, and Executive Manager of Reservoir. In these positions, they were responsible for tasks such as designing production development systems, optimizing drainage schemes, selecting recovery methods, and leading the design of water alternating gas methods.

In 2019, Pinto transitioned to Pré-sal Petrôleo S.A., where they served as an Executive Manager in charge of the Buzios Production Sharing Contract. Their responsibilities involved conducting technical and economic evaluations, discussing field development plans, contracting strategies, project execution, and production control and optimization.

More recently, in 2022, Pinto joined BW Energy as the VP Technical and also took on the roles of Sr. Technical Development Manager and Deputy GM. Finally, for the same year, they were appointed as an SPE Distinguished Lecturer for integrated offshore projects, further highlighting their expertise in this field.

Additionally, Pinto pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
