Alberto Peña Sicilia

Alberto Peña Sicilia has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. Alberto currently holds the position of Head of Business Development Europe at BW Ideol since 2024. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Development - Southern Europe at BW Ideol from 2022 to 2024.

Before joining BW Ideol, Alberto worked at Siemens Gamesa for a significant period of time. Alberto held various roles, including Head of Wind Farm Solutions from 2018 to 2022, Development & Origination Director in 2017, Europe South Sales Director from 2015 to 2017, and Senior Transaction Manager - Europe (Wind Farm Solutions) from 2007 to 2015. In these roles, they were involved in appraisals, negotiation processes, managing transactions, identifying opportunities for wind farm investments, and assisting with financing negotiations.

Alberto Peña Sicilia has an extensive education history. In 1995, they earned their Industrial Engineering Degree, specializing in Industrial Engineering, from Universidad de Zaragoza. From 1999 to 2000, Alberto participated in the ERASMUS Programme at the University of Glasgow, where they pursued a B.Eng. (Honors) in Civil Engineering. Continuing their education, they attended the University of Bristol from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Certificate in Engineering (Postgraduate) with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. In 2006, Alberto completed an MBA Executive program at the Escuela Europea de Negocios.
