Cheau Kim Tan

Cheau Kim Tan is a seasoned regulatory compliance engineer with expertise in safety and risk management across various sectors, including offshore and onshore facilities. Currently employed by BW Offshore since July 2021, Cheau develops and maintains regulatory compliance systems in alignment with Coastal State, Flag State, Class, and international regulations. Previous roles include positions at DNV as a consultant, performing safety studies such as QRA and HAZOP, and as a technical safety engineer at BW Offshore. Cheau also worked as a process engineer at Keppel Offshore & Marine, focusing on LNG vessel safety studies and design. Early career experience includes fire safety engineering at IGnesis Consultants and risk consultancy at DNV GL. Cheau holds a NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and a master's degree in Process Safety and Loss Prevention, along with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
