Dr. Biniam Yohannes

Dr. Biniam Yohannes is an experienced engineering leader currently serving at BW Papersystems since January 2023. Previously, Dr. Yohannes held the position of Director of Production Engineering at Comet Yxlon from April 2014 to December 2022, where responsibilities included lean production, production management, digitalization, and automation. Prior roles include Research and Development Project Manager for a high-resolution industrial computed tomography system and a System Engineer at Marposs, focusing on technology leadership. Additional experience encompasses work at the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Machine Tools as a scientific employee, specializing in Industry 4.0 and CNC machine monitoring, along with positions at KUKA as an intern and student. Dr. Yohannes earned a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover and furthered education at Loughborough University.
