Nathan D. Jerred

Nathan D. Jerred, PhD, currently serves as a Research Engineer at BWX Technologies, Inc. since February 2024. Earlier experience includes roles as a Nuclear Materials Research Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Idaho, where research contributed to a PhD dissertation under the mentorship of Dr. Indrajit Charit. Prior to these positions, Nathan worked as a Research Scientist II at the Center for Space Nuclear Research, focusing on nuclear technologies for space applications, and completed various projects during participation in the 'Next-Degree Program' at the same center. Nathan's earlier education encompasses degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and Nuclear Engineering from the University of Idaho, combined with fellowship experience at CSNR and a co-op position at Alcoa.
