Mijke van Ballegooijen has a diverse education background. In 2022-2023, they attended the THNK School of Leadership, completing the Executive Leadership Program. Prior to that, they attended the Institute for Real Growth in 2021-2022, where they pursued the IRG100 Leadership Program. In 2018, Mijke attended IMD for a program in Leading Digital Business Transformations. Mijke holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, which they completed in 2005 after obtaining a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Business Economics and Strategy from the same institution between 1998 and 2005. Mijke also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at the Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2000-2001, studying Business Economics and Economics of Management &. Additionally, they acquired a DALF qualification in French at Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III in 1997-1998. Mijke's educational journey began at Kennemer Lyceum from 1991 to 1997, where they focused on subjects such as History, Literature, French Language, Mathematics, Economics, Dutch, English, and French. In terms of certifications, Mijke obtained their Certified Customer Experience Professional certification from the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA) in July 2022.

BYBORRE
BYBORRE is an Amsterdam based textile innovation studio working on the frontiers of material development, functionality and aesthetics through engineered knits. Our signature is the innovative hand-rendered techniques that, through direct interaction with their circular knitting machines, gives us full creative freedom to play with patterns, colours, and textures within textiles. Designing from the yarn up allows us to discover new possibilities both within our own collections and for leading brands. Over the past six years we have worked with clients such as Rapha, adidas, BMW, and Natuzzi. Through consultation and collaboration with other brands, we push knit innovation to find creative ways to achieve the project’s goal. Our Amsterdam based HQ studio houses a knitting and innovation Lab, a fully outfitted atelier, a team of specialists and experts, a BYBORRE archive, and endless amounts of crazy textiles.
