Biswajit Sarma

Biswajit Sarma has a diverse work experience in the chemicals and coatings industry. Biswajit currently serves as the Managing Director for BYK Additives in the Indian Sub-Continent. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director at MYB Chemicals Private Limited.

Earlier in their career, Sarma worked at PPG Industries, where they held various managerial roles including Managing Director of Pittsburgh Paints Nigeria Ltd. and Sigma Coatings Nigeria Ltd. Biswajit also served as the Business Manager for PPG Fiber Glass in India, South East Asia, Middle East, and Africa, where they successfully developed and executed business strategies and enhanced partnerships with key clients.

Before joining PPG Industries, Sarma worked at DuPont as an Area Sales Manager for East India, where they were responsible for the growth and sustainability of various product lines. Biswajit achieved recognition for their outstanding performance and leadership in the industry.

Sarma's career began at Asian PPG Industries Limited, where they served as a Technical Service Incharge, focusing on sales, technical support, and training for automotive refinish paints.

In their early career, they also worked as a Research Scholar at Jubilant Organosys.

Biswajit Sarma received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry from Cotton College in 1997. Biswajit then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Polymer Science from Tezpur University, which they completed in 1999. Later, in 2006, they attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where they obtained a degree in Executive Program in Business Management (EPBM).
