Nuno Hespanhol

Nuno Hespanhol has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering roles. Nuno began their career as a freelance software developer on platforms like Upwork, where they successfully completed over 20 projects with high client satisfaction ratings. Nuno then worked as a trainee at JuniFEUP, where they gained experience in all phases of project development, particularly using the Django framework for CMS applications.

Nuno also worked as a full-stack developer at the Music Technology Group, where they contributed to the development of Freesound.org as part of their thesis scholarship. Nuno continued their software development career at Trust - Gestão Integrada De Saúde, S.A, where they were responsible for establishing and improving software development practices, specifically working on the company's automatic invoice system.

Nuno's expertise in software development extends to their roles at toFlow Intelligent Computing as a software developer and DevOps engineer. In this role, they participated in architectural decisions and development of two fully autoscaled cloud information systems applications, utilizing technologies such as AWS, Python, Node, Angularjs, Docker, and Bash.

Additionally, Nuno worked as a software developer at Casa da Música, where they gained experience in software development and maintenance. Nuno also worked as a guitar teacher at Curso de Música Silva Monteiro.

Currently, Nuno holds a position as a Senior Backend Engineer at Beyond.

Nuno Hespanhol obtained a Master's degree in Sound and Music Computing from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2013-2014. Before that, they pursued a degree in ICT Engineering from VIA University College from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Nuno Hespanhol also obtained certifications including the Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) C2 from Instituto Cervantes in August 2019, and the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) C2 from the University of Cambridge in January 2012.
