Juan Marin

Juan Marin has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Juan is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Bynder. Prior to this, they were a Senior Consultant at Lightbend, Inc. from 2019 to 2021. Juan also served as a Senior Technology Analyst at Rock Creek Strategic Marketing from 2014 to 2018. Before that, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Boundless from 2011 to 2014. Juan'searlier roles include Lead Geospatial Software Engineer at Computech Inc from 2009 to 2011, Lead Geospatial Software and Systems Engineer at New Light Technologies from 2008 to 2009, Director Departamento GIS at ACT Sistemas from 2006 to 2007, Responsable Departamento Preventas at ESRI ESPAÑA GEOSISTEMAS from 2004 to 2006, and Analista Programador GIS at Tragsatec from 2000 to 2004.

Juan Marin attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1992 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Forestry Engineering. Juan later obtained certifications in Principles of Reactive Architecture from IBM in January 2019 and Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in June 2013. Currently, they hold a Lightbend Certified Reactive Architect certification, obtained at an unknown date.
