Peter Devers

Peter Devers has a diverse work experience in the engineering and operations field. Peter began their career as an Electrical Apprentice at Aggreko, where they participated in a rotation program and gained proficiency in reading schematic drawings. Peter later worked as a Test Engineer, conducting daily testing of gas and diesel generators and playing a key role in commissioning a 100MW Gas power plant in Japan. Peter then served as an Electrical Technician in Ivory Coast, where they operated and maintained generators. Peter also worked as a Commissioning Engineer, leading teams to install and commission equipment in various projects, including an 8MW extension to a power plant in Mozambique and a 12MW gas site in a Colombian oil field.

In 2014, Peter became self-employed and worked as a Commissioning Engineer before joining Byrne Equipment Rental LLC. At Byrne, they initially served as an Electrical Supervisor in their Events Division, managing the logistics and operations of various events, including high-profile projects such as F1 and FIFA Club World Cup. Later, Peter took on the role of UAE Yard Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing yard operations. Currently, they hold the position of UAE Operations Manager at Byrne Equipment Rental LLC.

Peter Devers earned a Higher National Certificate in electrical engineering from Clydebank College, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Our lady and saint Patricks high school from 2002 to 2007, earning Standard grades. In addition to their formal education, Peter has obtained certifications in IOSH Supervising safely from IOSH in August 2017. Peter also holds certifications in BOSIET, Commercial Gas safety from the Gas Safe Register, and MIST from OPITO, although the dates of completion for these certifications are not provided.
