Marc Brown

Marc Brown is the founder of Byta, a platform that allows people to send and receive digital audio securely. Prior to starting Byta in 2015, they worked at Fore! as the owner of an independent promotion company from 2002 to 2016. At Fore!, they worked with various bands to promote their music and secure radio and TV appearances. Before that, Marc worked at Poptones as an assistant to Alan McGee and was involved in radio promotion from 2000 to 2002. Marc also worked at Creation Records as an A&R assistant from 1998 to 1999, and at murderecords as the second employee from 1994 to 1997.

Marc Brown attended Stockholm University from 2019 to 2022, where they obtained a Kandidatexamen degree in teoretisk filosofi. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they studied at the University of Gothenburg and earned another Kandidatexamen degree, this time in idé- och lärdomshistoria.
