Shawn

Shengyang Xu is a Staff Software Engineer at ByteDance, focusing on innovative Human-AI interaction products. Prior to this role, Shengyang worked at TikTok, where they led a team on creator tools and monetization platforms. Earlier in their career, Shengyang held positions at Ascend.io as a Lead Software Engineer and at Samsung Electronics America as a Senior Software Engineer. They also co-founded JoinYou Company in Hong Kong and have research experience from the CMU Robotics Lab and MIT Media Lab. Shengyang earned a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from The University of Hong Kong.
