Lucas Lu

Lucas Lu has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies. Lucas is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at ByteTrade Lab since May 2022. Prior to this, they were the CEO of 5Miles LLC, where they led the development of the 5miles app, a C2C transaction platform, from May 2014 to September 2021.

Before their role at 5Miles LLC, Lucas Lu was the CTO at LightInTheBox from May 2011 to May 2014. Lucas also had the position of General Manager at Taobao Marketplace from March 2010 to May 2011, where they focused on internet digital entertainment and the integration of Taobao on Interactive TV.

Earlier in their career, Lucas Lu played vital roles at Alibaba.com. Lucas served as the Head of Wireless BU of Taobao from March 2009 to March 2010, where they led the team and formulated strategies for mobile phone access to Taobao. Lucas was also the Senior Director of R&D at Alibaba.com, overseeing the development of Taobao.com's Search Engine technology and Advertising technology from October 2007 to March 2009.

Additionally, Lucas Lu has experience as the CTO at www.bokee.com from December 2004 to December 2006, where they were responsible for the Tech department and Product department as the Vice President of the company.

Overall, Lucas Lu has held various leadership positions in the tech industry and has demonstrated expertise in areas such as executive management, mobile commerce, digital technology, and search engine technology.

Lucas Lu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China from 1991 to 1996. Lucas then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Physics from Southern Methodist University from 2001 to 2005.
