David Wendel Thoms

David Wendel Thoms is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment and business development. Currently serving as the Founder and Managing Partner of Oryx Turnaround byWiT and Co-Founder & CEO of byWiT Fund Management, Thoms is actively involved in supporting women-led startups through Feminvest as an Advisor and Investment Committee Member. Previous roles include Co-Founder and Board Member at Alba Golf, Board Member at Wyld Networks, and Advisory Board Member at Loop Earplugs. Thoms also held leadership positions at First Venture and Daniel Wellington, where responsibilities encompassed global expansion strategies and business development. Earlier career milestones include serving as Acting Head of Legal and Legal Counsel for H&M, overseeing expansion in numerous international markets. Thoms holds degrees in Sustainable Finance from Harvard University, Master of Laws from Stockholm University, and Economics from Lund University.
