Kiyeon Nam has been an entrepreneur in the fashion-tech industry since 2017. In that year, they founded and became CEO of B'ZT, LLC (Beacon Zone Technology), a cutting-edge fashion-tech company based in Queens, New York. B'ZT is dedicated to developing IoT-based smart clothing and connected mobile network platforms to help locate missing people. The company has developed the world's first machine-washable tracking device pre-embedded in smart clothing. Additionally, in 2017, Nam founded and became CEO of S'hug New York, a revolutionary fashion brand that created the most versatile cardigan wrap on the market. This wrap features hidden tube sleeves and has seen great success, including an exclusive licensing deal with Adrianna Papell to serve consumers directly in the USA and global markets.
Kiyeon Nam has a diverse educational background. In 2001-2002, they attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, where they earned an AAS in Fashion Business Merchandising. They then attended Hongik University, where they earned a Master's in Fine Art in Fashion/Apparel Design from 1995-1998. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Microsoft For Startups Program from Microsoft in August 2021, the WiC Microsoft Cloud Accelerator Cohort 4 Graduate from Women in Cloud and Microsoft in January 2021, and the Indiegogo Fellowship Program 2020 from Indiegogo in December 2020.
