Greg Smith has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Greg started their career as a Pharmacist Intern at Cardinal Health in 2004 and worked there until 2008. During this time, they also served as a Nuclear Pharmacist and Radiation Safety Specialist. Greg then joined Mercy Medical Center in 2009 as a Pharmacist before moving on to work at Target as a Pharmacist from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, Greg joined CAPS® (Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc.) where they held various positions including Pharmacist, Senior Pharmacist, Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Director of Pharmacy, and currently serves as the Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations. Throughout their tenure at CAPS®, they have been responsible for various tasks such as cGMP and FDA regulation guidance, financial management, aseptic processing guidance, project management, staff development, customer service interactions, and inventory management supervision.
Greg Smith obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Greg later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Healthcare Administration at DeSales University, completing their studies from 2016 to 2021. Additionally, Greg has obtained various pharmacist certifications from multiple state boards of pharmacy, including Washington, West Virginia, Ohio, Nevada, Kansas, New York, Colorado, Michigan, Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Idaho, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Dakota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Vermont. Greg is also a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist, accredited by the BPS (Board of Pharmacy Specialties) in 2019.
