David van Swol

David Van Swol has held various roles in different companies throughout their work experience. David began their career as a Staff Accountant at BST Promark in 1996. David then worked as a Tax and Receivables Manager at Cardwell Westinghouse Co from 1997 to 2000. After that, they joined WestRock Company as an Area Controller from 2000 to 2005, and later became the Regional Controller in the Midwest Region from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they served as the Corporate Controller at SATO America, contributing to improved cash flow and cost-cutting initiatives. David then became the CFO at Beavers Holdings from 2008 to 2010, where they saved costs through labor and system licensing fees. At WestRock Company, they held the role of Regional Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2010 to 2013. Following that, they served as the Senior Director of Finance at KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Golden West Packaging Group as the Chief Financial Officer, where they led strategic planning, conducted due diligence for acquisitions, and facilitated divestitures. Most recently, in 2020, they worked as a Consultant at Vanguard Packaging & Display, assisting with IT and accounting evaluations. David is now the Chief Financial Officer at C.E. Niehoff & Co.

David Van Swol holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Management Information Systems, which they obtained from DePaul Driehaus College of Business between 1998 and 2005. Prior to that, they took Accounting classes at Governors State University from 1994 to 1995, with the aim of taking the CPA Exam in May 1995. David completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Board of Examiners State of Illinois in August 1995.
