Octavio O. has a diverse and extensive work experience in procurement and purchasing management. Starting in 2000, Octavio worked as a Vendor Scheduler at Johnson Controls, where they maintained and reviewed JIT items purchased and expedited raw materials. Octavio then held the role of Purchasing Lead at Harsco Corporation from 2001 to 2002, where they developed purchasing strategies for grating and fiberglass panels.

In 2004, Octavio joined thyssenkrupp as a Logistics and Inventory Manager, implementing a service spare parts program and directing 3PL activities. Octavio then moved on to Schneider Electric in 2005, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Project Buyer, Global Senior Commodity Buyer, Purchasing Manager, and Global Commodity Manager. In these roles, they managed purchasing spend portfolios, delivered productivity improvements, and executed localization and internationalization programs.

From 2017 to 2018, Octavio worked as a Purchasing Manager at Esterline Technologies Corporation, and from 2018 to 2019, they served as the Southwest Regional Planning Purchasing Manager at Orora Packaging Solutions. Most recently, Octavio is the Director of Procurement at C.R. Laurence, where they are responsible for overseeing procurement operations.

Throughout their career, Octavio has demonstrated strong leadership skills, successfully negotiated long-term agreements, implemented purchasing KPIs, and managed warehouse and stockroom operations. Octavio has consistently delivered productivity improvements and contributed to the overall success of the companies they have worked for.

Octavio O. has a diverse education history. Octavio started their education in 1995 and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Octavio pursued a Master's degree in Finance from Universidad Anáhuac, which they obtained between the years 2000 and 2004.

Following their interest in business, Octavio pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2002-2003.

In addition to their formal education, Octavio has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Octavio became a Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) and a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management in December 2020. Octavio also obtained the CSSYB Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in November 2020 and the AS9100:2016 Internal Auditor (rev D) certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in September 2020.

Octavio holds the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification from the APICS Supply Chain Council, which they obtained in February 2020. Octavio also obtained the Supply Chain and Logistics Auditor certification from Schneider Electric in February 2008.

Furthermore, Octavio has obtained additional certifications such as Effective Negotiating from KARRASS® Effective Negotiating in August 2006, Internal Quality Auditor ISO9001-2000 from Applus+ in June 2005, and Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from the Scrum Alliance in December 2020.
