Douglas Watson

Douglas Watson has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Douglas began their career at KPMG South Africa as an Audit Manager in 2005 and later became a Senior Manager and then an Associate Director. In 2012, they joined GUD Filters as a Finance Manager, responsible for financial operations. In 2014, they moved to GUD Holdings as the Divisional Financial Manager, overseeing the filter division's finance team and providing M&A and due diligence assistance. Douglas was also appointed as the Principal Officer of the GUD Holdings pension fund. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Principal Officer for the GUD Pension Fund. Douglas then joined Flowcrete in 2018 as the Commercial & Financial Director. Currently, they are employed by C. Steinweg Group as the Financial Director and also serves as the National Finance Terminals Operations Manager.

Douglas Watson completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Johannesburg in 2000. In 2002, they pursued an Honours degree (Bcompt) in the same field at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. From 2003 to 2005, Douglas attended the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) to earn their CA(SA) degree.
