Gulibusitan Abulizi is the current Nanofabrication Lead at C12 Quantum Electronics. Prior to this, Gulibusitan was a Postdoc at the Department of Physics at University of Basel from December 2013 to December 2018. The title of Gulibusitan's Postdoc project was "Topological superconductivity in 2D van der Waals heterostructures". Gulibusitan's previous position was an MSc Thesis at University of Twente from September 2011 to August 2013. The title of Gulibusitan's thesis was "Coherent electron transport through molecular bridges". Gulibusitan's first professional experience was as an MSc Intern at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) from September 2010 to August 2011 in Colorado, United States. The project Gulibusitan worked on during this internship was the development of thin film coatings for solid-state ionic field effect transistors (IFETs) and characterization with ellipsometry and profilometry.
Gulibusitan Abulizi graduated from Shenzhen Songgang Middle School before going on to study at South China University of Technology, where they earned a BE in Poly-materials and Engineering. Gulibusitan then obtained an MSc in Nanotechnology from the University of Twente, followed by another MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology). Finally, they earned a PhD in Experimental Physics from the University of Basel.
