Jennifer Kaplan has a long history of professional experience in the sustainability, marketing, and education sectors. Jennifer began their career in 1998 as a Group Marketing Research Manager for Condé Nast. In 2005, they became the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy for First Book, a nonprofit children's literacy organization. In 2008, Jennifer began working as a Freelance Writer and an Adjunct Faculty member in the Marketing Department at Marymount University. In 2009, they joined EcoAlign as a Senior Adviser. From 2010 to 2021, Jennifer served as the Founder of VineCrowd.com and the Director of Sustainability and Sustainability Manager at Miyoko's. In 2017, they also became an Instructor at The Culinary Institute of America. Currently, Jennifer is the Director of Sustainability at C16 Biosciences and an Adjunct Professor at Presidio Graduate School.

Jennifer Kaplan has a long educational history. Jennifer obtained their MBA in Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business in 1987. Jennifer then went on to receive their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Nonfiction Writing from University of San Francisco in 2017. Jennifer also attended Barnard College, though they did not receive a degree.
