Michael Slavitch

Michael Slavitch has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Michael is currently working as a Principal Engineer at C2RO since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Tignis, Inc. from November 2020 to September 2021.

From May 2019 to November 2020, Michael worked as a Principal Consultant at The Hammock Group Limited, specializing in system architecture for blockchain, distributed computing, digital identity, and big data analytics. Michael'sresponsibilities included working with clients such as Public Services and Procurement Canada and Correctional Services Canada.

Michael also served as a Blockchain Consultant at Public Services and Procurement Canada from November 2019 to September 2020. In this role, they led the architecture for the Buy And Sell Canada Blockchain Initiative, focusing on smart digital contracts for government procurement and contracting.

Earlier in their career, Michael gained experience as a Technical Consultant for Correctional Services Canada, where they worked on the transformation of an existing offender's database from an on-premises Oracle platform to a cloud-based MongoDB solution. Michael also worked as a Blockchain Architect at Leonovus Inc., contributing to the technical architecture of an Infrastructure as a Service (XaaS) distributed storage and compute marketplace.

In their role as Principal Architect/CTO at Ottawa Aviation Services from October 2017 to April 2018, Michael was involved in the architecture of virtual flight instructor systems and aviation data management systems. Michael utilized technologies such as Apache Storm, Snorkel, Torch, and Tensorflow for data processing and analysis.

From 2013 to 2017, Michael worked as a Senior Systems Architect at Diablo Technologies, where they focused on the development and deployment of flash-based tiered DDR4 memory solutions for cloud services and big data applications. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Architect for Global Infrastructure at BlackBerry from December 2010 to November 2013, and as a Senior Systems Architect at Research In Motion from March 2008 to December 2010.
