Mehdi Maasoumy

Mehdi Maasoumy is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience at C3 AI, where roles include Vice President, Senior Director, and Principal Data Scientist since October 2013. Prior to this, Mehdi conducted research as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley from August 2008 to December 2013, focusing on the management, control, and optimization of cyber-physical energy systems, contributing to projects such as energy-efficient buildings and smart grids. Mehdi's research experience also includes positions at the National University of Singapore and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, emphasizing control algorithms and building energy simulation. Mehdi holds a PhD in Optimal Control and Machine Learning, and has both a Master's degree in Controls and Optimization and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and Sharif University of Technology, respectively.
