Jake Thornton

Jake Thornton is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and licensing within the cannabis industry. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel - Licensing & Regulatory at C3 Industries, Jake previously held key positions at TerrAscend, where responsibilities included oversight of all regulatory and compliance initiatives. Prior roles at Cresco Labs included Lead Corporate Counsel and Corporate Counsel, focusing on multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance and transactional law. Earlier in the career, Jake practiced as an Associate Attorney in workers' compensation and civil litigation, and gained trial experience as a Trial Attorney. Jake holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Sciences and Political Science from Illinois State University.
