Marc Levy serves as an Executive Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking for C-III Capital Partners. Mr. Levy is focused on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance initiatives, and he also is actively involved in all of C-III’s fund management activities. Mr. Levy is Executive Managing Director of Island Capital Group, a subsidiary of which is the external manager of C-III Capital Partners, and has been a senior executive since it was established in 2003. At Island, Mr. Levy is involved in a variety of activities, including being responsible for most of the company’s private equity investments. Prior to C-III’s formation in 2010, Mr. Levy was head of the M&A and Business Development Group of Island Global Yachting Ltd., an Island-sponsored company that actively invests globally in marinas, related properties and real estate companies.
Mr. Levy joined Insignia Financial Group, Inc. in January 2000, where he ultimately became a Senior Managing Director of Insignia Financial Services, Inc., concentrating on Insignia’s principal investment, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment and transactional activities. Prior to Insignia, Mr. Levy was a corporate associate with the New York City law firm of Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance LLP), where he represented clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, capital markets and private equity transactions. Mr. Levy received a juris doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law (Dean’s List) in 1996 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Tufts University in 1993.
