Paul A. Hughson

Executive Managing Director at C-III Capital Partners

Paul Hughson is an Executive Managing Director of C-III Capital Partners. Mr. Hughson joined Island Capital Group in July 2009 and serves as an Executive Managing Director. Prior to Island Capital Group, he enjoyed a 16 year banking relationship with Island and its predecessor company, Insignia Financial Group. Hughson is also a Vice President at Anubis Advisors, which provides strategic planning, executive management, restructuring, M&A and other financial services to Island Capital Group's portfolio companies, including C-III Capital Partners.

Before his affiliation with Island, Mr. Hughson was a member of the Lehman Brother's Global Real Estate Group for 15 years where he was the head of global credit distribution. Mr. Hughson joined Lehman in 1993 to develop Lehman Brothers'; conduit securitization platform and subsequently became responsible for all of Lehman's proprietary and client based Agency CMBS and CRE CDO securitization businesses, bringing over $100B of new issue securitized product to market. He became the head of Lehman Brothers'; Bridge Equity business in 2004 and successfully redistributed approximately $4B of real estate equity into the institutional marketplace.

From 1986 through 1993, Mr. Hughson practiced real estate law with Thacher Proffitt & Wood. Mr. Hughson received his J.D. from the University of Virginia and his B.A. from Tufts University.
