Alistair McGiven

Alistair McGiven is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset management and economic analysis. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Global Tactical Asset Allocation at CPP Investment Board since October 2008, Alistair oversees a team of approximately 30 portfolio managers and researchers focusing on absolute return and global-macro portfolios across various asset classes, including commodities and currencies. Prior to this role, Alistair held a position as Senior Portfolio Manager, managing a cross-asset class TAA portfolio from June 2010 to October 2013. Alistair's earlier career includes serving as a Portfolio Manager at UBS Global Asset Management from 1999 to 2008 and working as an Economist at the Bank of England from September 1993 to January 1999. Alistair holds a MA in Economics from The University of Manchester and a BA in Economics from the University of Leicester, complemented by formative education at The British School in the Netherlands.
