Managing Director, Head Of Integrated Strategies at CPP Investments

Bruce Hogg has a strong and diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Bruce began their career as an Analyst at RBC Dominion Securities in 1997 before moving to the Macquarie Group as an Associate Director in 1999. In 2006, they joined OPTrust as the Head of Infrastructure, where they worked until 2007.

From 2007 to 2017, Bruce served as the Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure - Americas at CPP Investments | Investissements RPC. In this role, they led a team responsible for building sector and geographic investment programs, as well as identifying and managing significant infrastructure investments. During this time, they also held other leadership positions within CPP Investments, including Managing Director and Head of Power & Renewables, where they built a portfolio of over $9 billion in three years.

In 2021, Bruce established a new division called the Sustainable Energies Group (SEG) at CPP Investments. As Managing Director and Head of SEG, they were responsible for managing approximately C$18 billion of assets invested in renewable energy sources and other related areas. Most recently, they took on the role of Managing Director and Head of Integrated Strategies, where they established a new group to identify and manage investments outside of the steady-state portfolio construction.
