Freda Colbourne

Freda Colbourne, ICD.D has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Freda currently holds the position of Managing Director, Head of Corporate Affairs on the Global Leadership Team at CPP Investments | Investissements RPC. Prior to this role, they served as the Managing Director, Global Internal Communications & Strategic Initiatives at the same company.

Before joining CPP Investments, Freda was a Board Member at MLSE Foundation starting from November 2012. Freda also founded and served as the President of Colbourne Consulting Inc., a strategic communications consultancy that provided senior communications advice and counsel to various businesses, organizations, and governments. Freda held this position from June 2009 to February 2021. During their time at Colbourne Consulting, Freda developed proprietary strategic planning and narrative development processes.

From July 2007 to June 2009, Freda worked as the CEO of Edelman Canada, where they managed a team of over 135 employees across three offices and achieved double-digit growth in revenue and profitability. Prior to their CEO role, they served as the Executive Vice President, Corporate & Public Affairs at Edelman Canada from August 1996 to July 2007.

Freda's career started at Molson Breweries in February 1990, where they worked as the Director of Corporate Communications until August 1996. Overall, Freda Colbourne has a proven track record of leadership and expertise in corporate affairs, internal communications, and strategic initiatives.
