Kondala Palaka

Kondala Palaka is a Principal Data Scientist at CaaStle since August 2017, specializing in addressing cold-start problems in garment size recommender systems and improving cycle-time forecasting through mixed-effect models. Previously, as a Senior Data Scientist at CaaStle, Kondala developed deep learning models for inventory prediction and optimized merchandising planning with integer programming. Other experiences include serving as a Data Scientist and Technical Architect at Tavant Technologies, and a Big Data Analytics Consultant at Walmart Global eCommerce, where analytic solutions for email marketing were created. Earlier roles encompassed consulting for cloud-based solutions at Guru Data Solutions, predictive analytics at Tellabs, and leadership in product management at Acxiom Corporation. Kondala holds a PhD in Operations and Manufacturing Management from Washington University in St. Louis, an MSBA in Operations Research from the University of Rochester, and a BTech in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
