Karthik Sundaresan

Karthik Sundaresan is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry with over two decades of experience, currently serving as Distinguished Technologist and Director of HFC Solutions at CableLabs since March 2006. Karthik has played a key role in the development of advanced technologies such as Full Duplex DOCSIS and low latency DOCSIS, while also leading multivendor teams to create Remote PHY and Remote MAC PHY architectures. Prior to CableLabs, Karthik worked as a Verification Engineer at Conexant Systems, focusing on video decoder and cable modem ASIC testing, and as a Software Engineer at Carrier Access Corporation, involved in embedded software development. Karthik began the career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, where foundational knowledge in digital logic design was imparted. Karthik holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor’s degree from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
