Priya S.

Priya S. is an experienced technology policy expert currently serving as the Director of Technology Policy at CableLabs since May 2022. Prior to this role, Priya held the position of Director of Policy & Legal and Agency Privacy Officer at the New York City Office of Technology & Innovation from January 2022 to May 2022. From June 2017 to January 2022, Priya worked at the City of New York as Special Counsel, Director of Policy, Standards & Legal Affairs, and Privacy Officer in the Mayor's Office of the Chief Technology Officer. Early career experience includes serving as Assistant Commissioner for Telecommunications Planning & Resiliency at the NYC Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications and as Associate Bureau Chief at the Federal Communications Commission, where significant policies and compliance programs were developed for public safety infrastructure. Priya holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law and a BS in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
