Josh Placsom

Josh Placsom is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in security engineering and architecture. Currently serving as a Security Engineering and Architecture Specialist at Cabot Credit Management since May 2019, Josh previously held the position of Information Security Technical Analyst. Prior experience includes a role as a Cyber Security Analyst with the Xcina Security Team, where responsibilities focused on safeguarding client digital assets and managing incidents. Josh's expertise also encompasses working as an Information Security Analyst at Optomany Limited, optimizing network threat detection tools, and serving as a 1st Line Support Analyst at SecureData Europe, monitoring networks for threats. Early in their career, Josh contributed to a cyber security division of the UK Ministry of Defence, developing proof of concept software. Josh holds a BSc in Forensic Computing from the University of Portsmouth.
