Damir Baizhiyenov, CPA, CFA, currently serves as the Manager of Project Accounting at Cachet Homes, where responsibilities include conducting accounting and finance analyses for various development projects. Since September 2018, Damir has held multiple roles at the University of Waterloo, including Teaching Assistant for Financial Statement Analysis, Teaching Assistant Coordinator for Foundations of Entrepreneurial Practice, and Head Teaching Assistant for Corporate Finance, the latter involving course redesign and technology management during the transition to online learning. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Accountant at Valour Group, overseeing full cycle accounting for real estate development projects, and working at PwC as an Experienced Senior Associate, specializing in assurance services for asset management clients. Damir's academic credentials include a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management, both from the University of Waterloo, with honors recognition.
