Gary Coombs

Gary Coombs is a Professor of Cell & Molecular Biology at Waldorf University since August 2010, teaching various biology subjects and overseeing senior research programs. Coombs serves as an Associate Professor and Scientific Editor at Cactus Communications since September 2016. Previous roles include Senior Research Fellow at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, where work focused on Wnt signaling and cancer biology, and Research Assistant Professor at The Huntsman Cancer Institute, developing a research program in Wnt signaling. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral associate position at Corvas International and a postdoctoral fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute, where peptide substrate studies were conducted. Gary Coombs earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University.
