Colleen Phalen

Colleen Phalen, CAE, CMP, CEM, currently serves as Vice President of Marketing and Meetings at CADCA since September 2023. Prior experience includes holding the position of Chief Creative Officer at the American Association for Justice from November 2018 to September 2023, where Colleen led the development of innovative event experiences. Previously, Colleen was EVP of Program Development and Meetings at Destinations International, and Senior Director of Meetings and Conventions at the American Association for Justice from 2007 to 2016. Early career roles featured senior positions at the Consumer Electronics Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Colleen began in the events industry as an Exhibits Manager at PCIA and VNU Exhibitions, and earlier worked as National Sales Coordinator at The Freeman Company. Colleen holds a degree in English with a minor in Mass Communications from James Madison University.
