Patrick Hartl has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. In 2019, they co-founded and became the Managing Director of Cadeia. From 2016 to 2020, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Elephant Survival Organization, where they fought against elephant poaching in Tanzania through the use of drone technology. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Pactum Securities GmbH (formerly Acatus) from 2017 to 2018. In 2016, they were a Managing Partner at For Society Capital, a company focused on social impact bond projects. Prior to that, they worked as an M&A Advisor at Atica Partners GmbH from 2012 to 2015, and as a Financial Advisor at a family-owned investment firm from 2010 to 2011.

Patrick Hartl has a Master in Management (Grande Ecole) degree with a focus on International Business and European Affairs from Burgundy School of Business - BSB. Patrick also studied Corporate Strategies, Management in Japan, and Japanese Language at Keio University. Additionally, Patrick attended the EFFAS Summer School by Banco Santander, participating in a workshop for Financial Professionals. In 2017-2018, they obtained a Certificate in Executive Education - Fintech Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Finally, Patrick earned a Certificate in Executive Education, focusing on Emerging leaders in a digital age, from INSEAD in 2018.
