Head Of Customer Insight at Cadent Gas Limited

Dr Catharine Skinner has extensive work experience in customer insight, customer experience, and product development within the energy sector. Dr Catharine is currently the Head of Customer Insight at Cadent Gas Limited, where they lead customer research and strategy development for sustainability and corporate responsibility. Prior to this, they were the Customer Experience & Design Lead for the Business Transformation Programme at Domestic & General, where they focused on improving core service experiences and driving digital adoption. Dr Skinner also worked at E.ON, where they held roles such as International Customer Experience and Global Product Owner, responsible for implementing a global approach to digital customer feedback, and Senior Innovation Manager and Global Product Owner, leading product development activities for heating solutions and solar PV. Dr Catharine also has experience at British Gas, where they served as the Head of Consumer Strategy Smart Metering, the Head of Connected Home, and the Head of Business Development.

Dr. Catharine Skinner received their education at the University of Birmingham. From 1995 to 1999, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry with a focus on environmental chemistry. Following this, they went on to receive a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Organic Synthetic Chemistry from the same institution, completing their studies from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Skinner obtained a Management Diploma from the Chartered Management Institute in June 2009.
