Sam Hinds has held various roles throughout their work experience. They started their career as a Summer Intern at EY in 2013. In 2014, they joined PwC as an Associate and later became a Senior Associate. In 2019, Sam transitioned to Deloitte, where they worked as a Manager and Assistant Director. Currently, they are working as the Head of Regulatory Economics at Cadent Gas Limited.

Sam Hinds has an extensive education history. Sam obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from Durham University, completing their studies from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Rangiora High School from 2007 to 2010, where they completed NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3, focusing on subjects such as English, Mathematics, Economics, History, Classical Studies, and Physics.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Sam pursued further education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2017. Sam completed an MSc degree in Economics from LSE, enhancing their knowledge in the field. Additionally, in the same year, they enrolled in an Introduction to Econometrics course at LSE to further expand their expertise.

In addition to their formal education, Sam has obtained various certifications. Sam acquired the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2014, demonstrating their project management skills. Furthermore, they have completed several courses related to data analysis and manipulation using the R programming language through DataCamp. These certifications include "Working with Geospatial Data in R," "Machine Learning Toolbox," "Manipulating Time Series Data in R with xts," "ARIMA Modeling with R," "Cleaning Data in R," "Data Manipulation in R with dplyr," "Data Visualization with ggplot2," "Importing Data Into R," "Intro to Statistics with R: Correlation and Linear Regression," "Intro to Statistics with R: Multiple Regression," and "Introduction to Machine Learning". These certifications were obtained between 2016 and 2017, indicating their dedication to continuously improve their analytical skills.
