Sofia Poonawala

Sofia Poonawala has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Sofia most recently worked at Cadent as a Lead UX Designer, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior UX Designer at Cadent from January 2020 to January 2023. Before joining Cadent, Sofia worked at Hydrogen as a UX Designer from January 2018 to December 2019. Sofia also has experience in operations and client service, having worked at Hedgeable from December 2015 to January 2018. Sofia has worked in client services and research roles at LPL Financial, Cetera Advisor Networks LLC, and McGill University. Additionally, they gained valuable experience in environmental education and research as a Biology and Visitor's Service Intern at the US Fish and Wildlife Service and as a News Department Intern at CKUT Radio. Sofia also had an internship at the City of Orlando's Keep Orlando Beautiful program.

Sofia Poonawala earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Environmental Science & Politics, Law and Society from McGill University from 2009 to 2013. In 2017, they obtained a User Experience certificate from General Assembly. Then, in 2018, they acquired The Art of Design certificate from the School of Visual Arts Continuing Education. Additionally, they obtained a Series 7 certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2015.
